Why Cub Scouts
Our pack's tagline points four ways. Here's what each one looks like for a kid.
Hikes and campouts, off the screens and with you.
Hands-on adventures at every rank, from building things to cooking over a fire.
Kids build real confidence, and you'll hear a lot more “I did it myself.”
A den of kids their own age, where friendships grow fast, and other local families who get to know yours.
One den for each grade
Cub Scouts meet in small dens of kids in the same grade. Every year has its own rank and its own adventures, and it's never too late to start.
First adventures, with a grown-up right by their side.

Monday nights at Jefferson
Both run from 6:15 to 8 PM in the Jefferson Elementary cafeteria. The calendar shows which Monday is which.
Your Scout meets with their den, a small group of kids in the same grade, and their den leader. This is where they work on the adventures toward their rank.
About once a month the whole pack gets together to celebrate what Scouts have earned. Bring the whole family.
Lions and Tigers come with an adult partner, and only to the den meetings marked “Lions & Tigers” on the calendar. Every other den meets on all the regular den meeting nights.
After Arrow of Light
In 5th grade, Arrow of Light Scouts cross a bridge into Scouts BSA, where the Scouts plan the campouts and run the meetings themselves. Troop 3054 is chartered by the same PTO and meets at Jefferson on Monday nights too.
At the council's Harvest Festival in October 2026, Troop 3054 Scouts taught at almost every station, so Cubs got to learn from the kids they'll be in a few years.
